Our vehicles are restorations so we can legally only go so far with modern safety standards. Front and side curtain airbags and breakaway bumper sensors are not legally allowed to be installed on classic vehicles. The required structures and testing are not possible for classic vehicles and have varying levels of safety even on modern cars, especially with many recall studies still underway. We invite you to visit NHTSA’s site regarding airbag safety but always urge you to drive responsibly with this knowledge.
